Shahabad limestone
Cool mid-grey. Riven and honed. The volume line.

Shahabad Grey is the highest-yield bed in the Miriyan working face and the stone most UK merchants buy first. Colour runs a consistent cool mid-grey with light directional grain and occasional pale streaking. Riven faces split clean along the natural bed; honed faces calibrate flat with no resin fill.
Specified where a grey limestone paving is already on the drawing and the merchant needs landed cost and repeatable colour rather than novelty. Batch colour is held by working a single bench at a time.
| Finish | Notes |
|---|---|
| Natural riven | Split bed face, 18–24 mm nominal, sawn edges |
| Honed 220 grit | Calibrated, matt, most specified for commercial paving |
| Shot blasted | Uniform open texture, raises wet PTV |
| Bush hammered | Kerbs, steps and heavy trafficked thresholds |
| Size | Thickness | Finish | Tolerance |
|---|---|---|---|
| 600 × 400 mm | 20 / 25 / 30 mm | Honed, shot blasted | ± 1.0 mm |
| 600 × 600 mm | 20 / 25 / 30 mm | All finishes | ± 1.0 mm |
| 900 × 600 mm | 25 / 30 mm | Honed, riven | ± 1.5 mm |
| 1200 × 600 mm | 30 mm | Honed | ± 1.5 mm |
| Random riven, 300–900 mm run | 18–24 mm | Natural riven | ± 3.0 mm |
| Kerb 1000 × 250 × 125 mm | 125 mm | Bush hammered | ± 2.0 mm |
