Shahabad Grey
Cool mid-grey. Riven and honed. The volume line.
Shahabad limestone
Warm golden buff. Deepens sharply when wet.

A warm golden buff bed taken from the upper horizon of the same quarry. Dry, the stone reads a soft honey; wet, it drops two to three tones into a saturated amber. That shift is the reason it sells, and the reason it should always be sampled wet as well as dry before specification.
The character stone in the range. Used where a scheme needs warmth against grey concrete or dark brick, and as a banding stone against Shahabad Grey.
