The bed

Shahabad Maroon comes from a thin mineralised horizon that runs intermittently through the lease. Colour is a deep muted purple-brown with darker mottling and occasional pale calcite threads. Output is capped by the bed itself rather than by processing capacity.

Specified as a feature stone: entrance thresholds, banding, cladding panels and interior floors where a dark warm tone is required without moving to a granite budget.
